How to Open InDesign CS6 in CS4

To be able to open an InDesign CS6 fileĀ  in CS4 you will need to open the file in the CS6 version of InDesign (or CC) and save the file as an IDML file, using the Save As or Export options from the file menu. This will convert the file into a format that CS4 can understand (IDML stands for InDesign Mark-up Language).
